A pocketful of aviary's

As soon as I saw the Aviary set in the new mini catalogue I knew that this was the first set I had to buy. Its a great stamp set with lots of bird cages, birds and even a stand, plenty of different options to get creative with. I created a pocket card with a tag enclosed for a message. I used one of the new in colours Pear Pizzaz and using the colour coach teamed it up with rich razzleberry, whisper white and an extra large round tab punched out of crumb cake and stamped with a hello from the tiny tags stamp set. I made the tag from rich razzleberry and whisper white stamped the bird image on the bottom in tempting turquoise and used an antique jumbo eyelet to thread my ribbon through then attached a rhinestone to the top of the cage.
I love this stamp set and cannot wait to get creative and use it again real soon.
I used:Aviary, Tiny tags, basic black, rich razzleberry, whisper white. tempting turquoise, crumb cake, pear pizzaz, antique jumbo brad, crop a dile, 1cm white taffeta ribbon, rhinestone.

Just Believe.....

Finally I have all my overseas christmas cards finished, unusual for me as normally they are done at the last minute. But with most of them having to go overseas (luckily they are all going to the same person who will give them out for me as postage is so expensive when you have so many to send.) Now just the local ones to do but there is a bit less pressure to get those done this week.

I should of been studying for my exams this weekend but got a little distracted by the box sitting unopened in my lounge from Stampin' Up. I have resisted the temptation for three days but could not last any longer. I decided it was time to ink up one of the new stamp sets. I decided to make an extremely quick card using Just Believe, using Marina mist, Pear Pizzaz and Crumb Cake and stamped with Soft Suede and then just tied a ribbon around the bottom.

Well back to the study until the next distraction (lucky for me I am very easily distracted)

Because I care

I have used the Level 1 hostess set "Because I Care" to make a thank you card.

I used Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzaz which are from the in colour range. They worked really well together. I embossed the small flowers using versamark and then embossed them using white embossing powder. Then tied a fake bow using certaily celery ribbon.
Stamp sets: Because I care
Ink: Blusing Bride, Pear pizzaz, Versamark
Paper: Pear Pizzaz, Blushing Bride, whisper white
Other: White embossing powder, heat gun, certainly celery 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, dimensionals, Large oval punch, scallop oval extra large punch

Christmas with a shine!

I've taken the ornament stamp from Stampin' Up! Contempo Christmas set which is phenomenal value at $25.95 and made it all shiny.

I've stamped my ornament first in Versamark ink & then stamped with Old Olive or Cherry Cobbler , poured on clear embossing powder & melted with a heat gun. Remember to clean between every stamp - otherwise your Versamark pad will be multi-coloured. This is a labour of love but I think the results speak for themselves - pretty!
